ISU Ranks Among the Top 8.3% Worldwide, Pioneering the AI-Driven Future of Higher Education

The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) has announced its 2025 Global University Rankings, with ISU ranked among the top 8.3% worldwide and earning a place on the list for the seventh consecutive year. This achievement underscores the university’s enduring academic strength and global competitiveness, making it one of the few private universities in Taiwan to consistently receive international recognition. ISU noted that this honor not only reflects global acknowledgment of its educational excellence but also reaffirms its commitment to its mission of cultivating talent for the nation.

Amid the global wave of AI transformation, digitalization, and sustainability, ISU has adopted a dual-track strategy of “Technology × Employability,” integrating industry collaboration with interdisciplinary innovation to nurture a new generation of talent with a global outlook. The university has been recognized by Global Views Monthly and City Magazine as one of Taiwan’s most “promising” private universities. In the U.S. News & World Report 2024-2025 Best Global Universities for Clinical Medicine ranking, ISU stands alongside leading institutions such as NTU, NYCU, and NCKU among the nation’s top 10. Furthermore, in Global Views Monthly’s 2025 “Most Favored Graduates by Employers” survey, ISU ranked first among comprehensive universities in southern Taiwan in the “Medical Institutions” category, underscoring its strong foundation in medical education and industry collaboration.

ISU emphasizes that, beyond professional training, it values the humanistic dimension of education and social responsibility. ISU has long promoted USR (University Social Responsibility) initiatives, with faculty and students engaging deeply with communities in health promotion, elder companionship, and environmental sustainability projects. These experiences teach students to “learn with responsibility,” transforming knowledge into action. Additionally, ISU’s interdisciplinary innovation incubators and Headquarters for Industry-University Collaboration and Intellectual Property Management offer students hands-on experience and direct engagement in corporate projects, equipping graduates with practical skills and confidence from the outset.

As the southern S-shaped strip of semiconductors rapidly takes shape, ISU leverages its geographic advantage and corporate resources to develop diverse learning spaces, including the AI Innovation Center, the Metaverse Technology Art Design Center, the New Media Learning and Creation Center, the Intelligent Medical Teaching Center, and semiconductor laboratories. These facilities help students find direction and passion in the era of AI and sustainability. ISU stresses its three-pronged approach of “academic strength, social impact, and industry engagement,” dedicated to cultivating innovative talent capable of engaging globally and leading the future.
